In this time of the devastating Corona virus, we often hear the heroic tales of medical professionals putting their lives on the line to not only treat the afflicted, but to comfort those that are isolated in their suffering. The stories have been heart wrenching and simultaneously inspiring. With this as a backdrop, it is unthinkable that there are people who would set their sights on attacking and exploiting the very heroes that are giving their all to save us, but here we are.
In the end of October 2020, the FBI and HHS published this warning to healthcare companies to be extra vigilant about the threat of cyber crime. The only defense is adequate preparation.
